Another Mountaineer to the NFL

Today, former WVU wide receiver Wes Lyons was invited by the New York Jets to try out for the team, according to this news release. Lyons was invited to the NY Jets on a “tryout” basis.

For those of you not in Mountaineer Nation, Wes Lyons is a tall dude for a WR, and by “tall dude”, I mean he’s 6’8″! Could you imagine being a CB like Champ Bailey or William Gay, having to cover this beanstalk?

I don’t think Wes Lyons was utilized to his full potential and talent at WVU. Hopefully, he’ll have his chance to shine in the NFL. If he makes the Jets team, “Hard Knocks” could get even more interesting this summer.
